You've used a real Violin and it doesn't sound sad.
It sounds extremely basic, but it sounded Medieval to me, infact, extremely medieval, and luckily for you, i like Medieval Music (but Techno is the best).
You need to work on your playing. The chime thing doesnt help it sound sad at all. You need to use a natural minor to help it sound sad, or with a Melancholy touch to it. But its OKAY, not amazing. Keep practicing and you'll become much better! Don't give up!
